Our client base covers South Florida, spanning both coasts. The vast majority of our representation of labor organizations involves negotiations, grievance-arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, and actions in state and federal court. Mierzwa & Floyd, P.A., represents unions in both the private and public sectors, encompassing clients who work in the building trades, and as blue collar workers, school employees, theater employees, police officers, firefighters, paramedics and emergency medical technicians. The firm provides legal advice in organizing campaigns under the National Labor Relations Act for the private sector and the Florida Public Employees Relations Act for the public sector. 

Mierzwa & Floyd, P.A., assists clients in initial preparations for negotiations, appearing at negotiating sessions, and through any impasse proceeding. We also assist unions in the enforcement of collective bargaining agreements through the grievance mechanisms, arbitration proceedings, and before the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and state and federal courts. This firm's experience also extends to matters including elections, the fair representation of members, unit clarification and certification, and Department of Labor issues.
